My name is Anna Grace, and I was born and raised in the Huntsville Alabama area. I was actually homeschooled from preschool all the way through high school. This allowed me to start working from an early age. I worked in preschool for a little over 5 years until I decided to change my career path. I attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I studied biology with a concentration in molecular biology. I love learning about the intricate details of what makes life work. Cell Biology and Organic chemistry were actually my favorite courses in college. I also worked in research at UAB where I met my now husband, Chris.
Chris was a PhD student studying cognition and behavior in zebrafish. He actually fell in love with me a year before we started dating. I was oblivious and doing my own thing until one day we were the only ones to show up to a brunch planned with friends. The day ended with him leaving my apartment and saying he wanted to kiss me… and the independent girl I am sweetly smiled, said said “I know” and slammed the door in his face (my dad has never been more proud). Less than two weeks later I knew he was the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Almost a year later in May of 2020 we decided we were tired of not being married. We got married in August of 2020 (yes, right in the middle of the pandemic) and we couldn’t be happier! You can find our wedding video below.
We both graduated in 2020, me with a Bachelor’s and Chris with a PhD. We moved back to Huntsville when we got married and we absolutely love it here! Chris is working at a software engineering company and I am looking for my own job opportunities. On weekends you can find us either hiking to a waterfall, trying a new recipe, or searching for great food in town.
I love shopping for a good deal, whether it’s fashion, beauty or home décor, It all gets me excited! I’ve found myself spending hours looking for the best deal on whatever I want to buy. Chris loves trying new recipes, his current endeavors include beef jerky and fermentation recipes.
